Marcus Washington

Marcus Washington was nominated to serve on the Atlanta Citizen Review Board (ACRB) by the Atlanta University Center Consortium (AUCC). He received City Council confirmation on January 6, 2025, to serve for a team of three (3) years.

Washington is a dynamic leader with a proven track record of fostering inclusive, innovative, and supportive communities. As the Senior Community Director at Morehouse College since 2022, Marcus has spearheaded initiatives to transform campus culture, including redesigning the Residential Advisor recruitment process and transitioning to a digital onboarding system that serves over 1,500 residential students. He has cultivated effective teamwork and mentorship as a coach, advisor, and problem solver, ensuring a thriving environment for students and staff alike a passion for education and empowerment, Marcus has also worked as a STEM-focused Workshop Coach for SMASH Academy and as an ESL Teacher with EF Education First. His ability to connect with diverse groups, implement creative solutions, and drive progress is reflected in his expertise in digital tools, curriculum design, and student engagement.

Marcus holds a Bachelor of Arts in Kinesiology, Sports Studies & Physical Education from Morehouse College and is currently pursuing an MBA at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. He is TEFL-certified and skilled in project management, graphic design, and AI-driven solutions to optimize efficiency. In every role, Marcus exemplifies a commitment to growth, community impact, and innovation.
