Dr. Michael Turner was appointed to the Atlanta Citizen Review Board for a three-year term on January 21, 2020, representing the Atlanta Business League. Dr. Turner is a demonstrated higher education administrator and practitioner with a commitment to student advocacy and leadership development.
Arriving at Morehouse College in 2006, his first appointment was as a Program Coordinator with the Office of Health Professions. Since that time and for over ten years, he has been able to advance his career through numerous roles within the Office of Student Services. In 2019, Dr. Turner was appointed as the Director of Student Relations and Ombudsperson, a role that allows him to support student success through advocacy. Within the framework of Student Relations, he is committed to providing a platform for fielding students’ concerns while seeking appropriate resolutions in a fair and equitable manner. Dr. Turner is blessed to carry forward the work of supporting students to reach their potential and exceed their expectations while also creating pathways towards the future.
Dr. Turner is a three-time graduate of Clark Atlanta University, where he earned the degrees of Bachelor of Science in mathematics as well as the Master of Arts and the Doctor of Education, both in educational leadership.
