Tamara Orange | Board Vice-Chair

Tamara Orange was sworn in by the Municipal Clerk as a member of the ACRB on May 15, 2017, appointed to the Board by the Georgia Coalition for the People’s Agenda..

Ms. Orange is the third daughter of Civil and Labor Rights Activist the late Reverend James Orange. Due to an illness, the Atlanta native retired from the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Department, where she had been an employee for 16 years as a supervisor of the warrant division and a detention technician in accounting. Ms. Orange serves as Vice-President of the MLK March Committee, where she assists with the coordination of official activities in Atlanta for the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Holiday including, but not limited to coordinating the Commemorative March and Rally. She is a graduate of the Atlanta Public School System and the University of West Georgia with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice.
