Christopher Brown

Christopher “Chris” Brown was nominated to serve on the Atlanta Citizen Review Board (ARCB) by the Atlanta City Council.  He was sworn in on February 3, 2025, to serve for a term of three (3) years.

Brown, an Atlanta native, has dedicated his career to public service, championing citizens’ rights and fostering community sustainability. A proud product of Atlanta Public Schools, he graduated from Frederick Douglass High School before continuing his education at Georgia State University.

With extensive experience as a labor and community organizer, Brown has cultivated strong relationships with civic leaders, government officials, non-profits, and community partners. These connections enable him to secure resources and drive meaningful change for stakeholders and communities alike.

Brown’s leadership includes serving as Chair of the Atlanta Planning Advisory Board (APAB) Public Safety and Legal Administration Committee. During his tenure, he advanced public safety solutions by fostering collaboration, innovation, and education within the community.

In 2018, he contributed to Mayor Bottoms’ Progressive Agenda Working Group on Criminal Justice Reform, influencing transformative initiatives visible in Atlanta today. Additionally, his service on the Fulton County District Attorney Office Anti-Gang Council underscores his commitment to addressing critical issues in public safety and justice.

Brown is equally passionate about education. He has served as a CTAE Advisory Board Member, PTA President, GoTeam Chair for local school governance, and Community Partner at various Atlanta Public Schools, working to empower students and families across the city.

Guided by the belief, “Let the work you do be a solution to someone’s problem,” Christopher Brown’s mission is to help and empower others through meaningful advocacy and action.
