Daud Sheikh was appointed to the Atlanta Citizen Review Board (ACRB) by the Atlanta City Council President. He took his oath of office on December 16, 2021.
Mr. Sheikh retired from the Atlanta Police Department (APD) as a Zone Four Criminal Investigation Commander in 2020. While employed with the APD, he oversaw the criminal investigation operations for a 32.5 sq. mile district in southwest Atlanta and supervised 110 supervisors, officers, and personnel responsible for targeting and reducing street-level crime, including robberies, assault, vehicle theft, and traffic violations.
Mr. Sheikh brings to the ACRB board his expertise in infrastructure security, criminal investigations, tactical crime analysis and digital crime examination. He excels in advising law enforcement agencies and executives on physical, information, and cyber security concerns.
In addition to his career background, Mr. Sheikh earned the 300 Club of Atlanta Award for Life Saving, served in the United States Army as a Combat Engineer, and is a member of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE).
