Erin Gibbs is a Senior Investigator with the Atlanta Citizen Review Board. She joined the team in December 2024. She comes to the agency with over a decade of expertise in law enforcement, employee safeguarding, and compliance.
Prior to coming to the agency, Gibbs worked as an Employee Relations Investigator at CARE, where she handled cases of serious misconduct, including sexual harassment, discrimination, and other violations of employee conduct. Her work involved managing sensitive investigations across global operations, analyzing evidence, and conducting interviews with individuals in various countries. Erin’s commitment to fairness and thoroughness has led to the development of robust safeguarding policies and streamlined investigative procedures.
Prior to her role at CARE, Erin gained extensive experience with the DeKalb County District Attorney’s Office. As a Senior Investigator in the Sexual Exploitation and Crimes Against Children unit, she played a pivotal role in preparing felony cases involving sex trafficking, child abuse, and violent crimes. Her meticulous case preparation, ability to gather and analyze critical evidence, and strong interviewing techniques contributed to a high resolution rate for cases. Erin’s dedication and exceptional performance earned her recognition as a leader in her department.
Erin holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Columbus State University. She has also earned certifications as a Cellebrite Physical Analyst, K-12 Civil Rights Investigator, and First Aid/CPR/AED Instructor. Her expertise is further bolstered by specialized training, including Hostile Environment Awareness Training (HEAT).
