New Beginnings

The last few months of my personal life have consisted of a lot of change. I’ve recently graduated college at Tennessee State University, but it feels like I just arrived on campus my freshman year last week. I'm not reminiscing to the point of wanting to go back however I do think about the opportunities that could have been that passed me by while I was there. Organizations I could've joined, trips I could have taken, time I could’ve just spent better in hindsight. Instead of letting those thoughts get me down, I choose to take those thoughts and use them as motivation to not fall short in those same ways again. Sign up for that course, join that club, invest in yourself. Most importantly going forward I WILL be using all my resources. In my opinion a resource unused is a resource wasted. That's why citizens should utilize the Atlanta Citizen Review Board in my opinion. The only way to see the change that you're looking to see in Atlanta police departments and corrections offices is to hold them accountable. When you file a complaint because you observed or had an incident with an officer from one of these departments that will begin the snowball effect leading to the results we are all looking for. When you are ever in an incident involving Atlanta Police or Corrections officers that you feel was unfair or questionable call the ACRB at 404-865-8622 or file a complaint at https://acrbgov.org/file-a-complaint/. Our process focuses on fairness, thoroughness, and transparency.
